East West Hollywood Strings

East West virtual instruments - May 2010 news.

Hi folks,

You know I like East West virtual instruments, I really do, for many reasons... but the main reason is that their products just simply sound amazing. I have absolutely no advantage to say that. They don't pay me for this ! I just want to share my thoughts... until now the last version of the "Play" engine was quite buggy so to say. From times to times it was even a really pain in the ass to play a simple sequence with Spectrasonics or Kontakt at the same time, so I was preparing my score on another Protools session and then finally import it with all other VIs... not very easy when you have to do it quick with client on your back... anyway I always found a way to figure this out... hopefully !

Since yesterday, they put a big update for all "Play" users (version 2.0.8) ! Tadaaaaaam. It's supposed to fix the "sticky window" behaviour on Protools, the "what-did-I-do-before-it-crashes?" and the "did-I-save-this-or-lost-everything-in-a-second?", you can download it and find more information about this so long waited update here.

This month is also a month of new release for East West and I can't wait to buy the "Hollywood Strings" virtual instrument. It seems awesome, all articulations and mics positions. wow at last we approach perfection... The sound demos are really brilliant... just listen.

I found a nice offer too on the soundsonline website, until 50% off on their products if you buy 3 products ! I think it's limited time offer but I don't know when it ends, so hurry up...

More information here.

That's all for today !

Peace.

Sam.
